Ta' CENC ISSUE

The Association's Representation to MEPA regarding Ta' Cenc

Preamble:

The Ramblers? Association of Malta finds exception with the Proposal of Real Finanz Ltd on the grounds that it will

  • dispossess the fundamental right of access of the ordinary citizen to the national patrimony and foreshore of the area,
  • bring about detrimental socio-economic implications, contrary to the rationale of the Gozo/Comino Local Plan
  • run counter to and misinterpret the Structure Plan policies with respect to the construction of villas, bungalows and misplaced Heritage Park.
Initial Declarations:

a) At the outset it is declared that in the main the representations herein made concern issues that are deemed to negatively affect the interests of the Maltese nationals and foreigners in general but especially those who support the objectives of the Ramblers? Association. In no way are these representations intended to be holistic in nature but are confined to only those considerations that fall within the competence of the Association.
