Welcome
We have another three ad-hoc
walks in July, two evening walks led by Dr Gunther Jacobs, and
another early-morning walk.
Details below.
Wednesday 9th July Marfa Ridge (Circular)
This walk will take us around Marfa Ridge, going as far as Rdum
tal-Madonna.
Starting time: 6 pm sharp.
Meeting place: Ghadira Police Station (near bus terminus)
Duration: about 3 hours
Grading: Some rough terrain
Saturday 12th July – Mgarr & Environs (Circular )
This walk will be the second one with an early morning start. It
will pass through very beautiful garigue areas around this rural
village.
Starting time: 5 am sharp.
Meeting place: Castello Zammitello, Mgarr
Duration: about 3 ½ hours
Grading: Easy with some rough terrain
Wednesday 23rd July Selmun and Mgiebah area (Circular)
Starting time: 6 pm sharp.
Meeting place: Selmun Palace
Duration: about 3 hours
Grading: Easy, with some slopes

The Ramblers Association of Malta ( RAM ) was set
up in February 2005 on the initiative of Lino Bugeja
who had long led a one-man campaign in the press
against whole swathes of countryside and a good
number of country paths and lanes being closed off
little by little by means of gates, fences and those
ubiquitous signs claiming " RTO " or suchlike.

Our logo is simple and
portrays the local landscape as everybody will at once perceive it, with little
green and more earth colours and lots of blue. Light and nature are the
motivating factors, just what prompts ramblers to the feeling of easiness
and freedom of outside life in natural surrounds, and away from the bustling
crowds and routine of everyday life.
